HES Catering Services recognises that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking. The organisation is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking within its activities and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.
This statement sets out the Councils actions to understand all potential modern slavery risks related to its business and to put in place steps that are aimed at ensuring that there is no slavery or human trafficking in its own business and its supply chains

We expect the same high standards from those we work with and are committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business
Suppliers are vetted depending on the anticipated contract value and risk, Our suppliers are expected to comply with all laws and regulations.
The Council has specific policies related to Safeguarding and Whistle-blowing. These are reviewed and updated as required.
All staff are required to comply with the code of conduct which sets out the actions and behaviors expected of them when representing the organisation.
We review our procurement process, human resources policies and training and will be introducing specific measures to ensure that our obligations under the Act are passed through our supply chain, and all relevant staff and contractors are informed of their responsibilities under the Act.
